I'thousand on a budget so instead of beef sirloin, I used beef STEW MEAT. When I floured the meat, I added simply a little onion powder, garlic powder and fresh ground pepper. I made no other changes. Mine was done simmering at just under two hours. I served this over hot buttered egg noodles. My family INHALED this. Out of the whole skillet, there was a minor amount for my husband to take for piece of work the next day. Succulent!

This is admittedly delicious. I made this exactly equally directed and got a dish that was creamy, rich with flavor and hearty. My son liked it a lot and he is non a beef fan. I only had ground beefiness on paw simply it worked just fine following the same directions. I sprinkled the flour & salt mixture over the ground beef before placing it in the pan. Very delicious and easy to follow instructions! This was my first time making Beefiness Stroganoff; I came to allrecipes.com looking for something my friend described equally having made and I chose this one because it uses the same ingredients. Equally I was nervous near the meat tenderizing I used a tenderloin roast which cut simmer time to virtually nothing. This was one of the all-time stroganoff recipes I've e'er tried. I just shared some leftovers with a coworker and she agreed. I did add some balsamic vinegar to the stock mixture and I added more than the called for beefiness stock every bit the roux was too thick without information technology. Very, very tasty!

Delish! And yes, I made this in the crockpot.....used some marsala wine since I had no white wine, and at the end of slow cooking for about 9-10 hours, added 4 oz. of depression fat cream cheese and 1c of depression fat sour cream, thick, flossy and delicious! Served over buttered egg noodles, family unit loved...thanks!

Hubby loves Beefiness Stroganoff so I've been making it for him for many years ever trying a unlike recipe. Finally, this is the keeper for beef stroganoff!! Yeaaaaa. Really awesome flavor. Great recipe. I recommend de-glazing the pan with the white wine and increasing the amount of beef stock.Whatever cutting of beef tin can be used, increase cooking times for 'tougher' cuts. Philly cheese is a great substitute for sour cream. Serve with fresh parsley and egg noodles. I have made this recipe many times, its a firm family favorite

Tried this recipe and the family loved it. The tomato paste makes for a more "rich" sauce than others recipes. I used "Better Than Bouillon - Beef Base" for the stock equally information technology keeps very well and is my go to beefiness stock with great flavour. This was very easy and very adept. I used all the ingredients with the exception of leaving out the mushrooms since I didn't have any. After sautéing the beefiness and onions I put everything in a slow cooker for about 3 hours and added the sour foam at the end. It was a skillful comfort food dinner.

I tripled the flour and salt in the first step to properly glaze the meat and that left the drippings quite thick and so I doubled the butter for both steps and also doubled the mushrooms. I ran out of wine so I used more beef stock instead. Likewise only let information technology cook for a little over an 60 minutes. Information technology needed quite a flake of pepper at the end but the outcome was fantastic. I have a simpler, less traditional recipe that I usually use for beef stroganoff just my exceptionally picky husband actually moaned several times while eating this and so I approximate this is my new recipe.

This dish was incredible. I detest to audio too "Food Network-y", but the sauce had an unexpected depth of flavor--so rich and delicious. Sadly, there were no leftovers. Fifty-fifty though at that place are only 3 of us, each of us went dorsum for seconds. ***** Note: I didn't accept tomato paste, so I substituted 5-Tbsp. tomato sauce. I used Sauvignon Blanc, and I used it to deglaze the pan rather than later in the recipe. I used a "healthy" bowtie pasta, but I retrieve I'll use unhealthy egg noodles next fourth dimension. :-D

I followed the recipe except for adding a little extra meat and calculation sour cream to plate. The sirloin steak strips were tender in about 2 to ii ane/iv hours. I used No Yolk egg noodles; the adjacent time I will use regular egg noodles - this recipe deserves it. All-time of all, no canned soup involved!

This was simply delicious, the but thing I inverse was as previous rated was the placement of the vino and addition of a tablespoon of Worcestershire. I deglazed the pan after cooking the meat, I could still sense of taste the back drop of the wine and believe if added in the end would exist way to strong of the wine taste. If you don't like the sense of taste of wine I would fifty-fifty exit it out all together, merely it did give a zing to the sauce. All in all it was very rich and tasty. Smashing stroganoff recipe. Used Sprouts organic beef broth instead of stock (groovy flavor) and sliced very thin leftover medium rare London bake for the meat. Not bad dish, cooking time is depending on the beef and how much yous're working on the flavors. The cutting of Sirloin I bought was ready in xx, but I wanted the garlic and onion to Fuze all of their flavors together. I relish a spicier flacor, so I threw in a stale chili pepper into the simmer. I also cutting back on the sour cream to a 1/2 cup. I like the savory and the Uma I with a little less bite of the sour foam. All in all, a good basic recipe to make your own.

Fantabulous. I didn't utilize any wine and it still tasted great. I was worried that simmering with sliced mushrooms in in that location would atomize them so I put them in after I composite the meat back in to the sauce, then simmered for an hour. Perfect.

This is and then simple but yummy. I did add some spices to the flour earlier coating the meat paprika, onion pulverisation, garlic powder (omitted the fresh garlic) and the salt and black pepper. I was looking for something to prepare with ingredients that I had on hand. I had ane pound of hamburger meat that I wanted to use up so that was my principal ingredient. I followed the directions the same as if making with the sirloin. I wasn't sure well-nigh sauteing the fresh mushrooms with the meat, merely it turned out fine. This was actually good. I added the wine early like many of the other reviewers and also added a touch of Penzey'south Bavarian Seasoning to give it only a little richer flavor. This spice alloy includes crushed chocolate-brown mustard, rosemary, garlic, thyme, bay leaf and sage.

As I did non have a total cup of sour cream then I topped upwardly the cup with plain Greek yogurt. Also did non add the white vino. The sauce was nice and thick, The meat very tender as I had permit it simmer two one/two hours. I did add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika for a little zip. Hubby said it was very tasty. I would make this once more without a doubt.

First-class flavor. I used beef stew meat, as I had it on paw and canned mushrooms (again, had them on hand). I just simmered for an hour, as I cooked the meat through during browning. I kept tasting it through the entire cooking process and by the time the meal actually came together I was full! I will be making this again. Very good.

This was amazing! The merely "tweaks" I made was to apply ground beef (because it needed to be used) and chicken broth with a couple of teaspoons of beef bullion granules. Delicious and unproblematic! This recipe is.a keeper.

We made this exactly as the recipe was written. It's a piffling bland but information technology isn't bad. I agree with some others, it needs a little more than beef flavor, perhaps more beef stock. I'one thousand non sure! I concluded upward adding a little more salt to my dish when it was done and that helped a piddling bit.

I'd been craving this and it didn't disappoint! The meat was melt-in-your-mouth and the house smelled wonderful on a common cold snowy 24-hour interval. Because I had Greek yogurt, I substituted that for the sour foam and the sauce broke unfortunately, merely the taste wasn't affected. I will definitely make this again; only with sour cream side by side time

Excellent recipe! You don't have to change a matter. I didn't have white vino so I did a substitute of 1 cup beef stock and ii TBSP flour. Wisk the two together nicely( and then cascade into the beef and veggies while simmering. And then I added the sour cream only earlier serving.

I used white balsamic vinegar in identify of the vino, which added a prissy flavor, and is of course made with wine, but I only used a good couple of splashes, and did this before the simmer, not after. I added water every at present and then as needed. I only simmered for an 60 minutes, merely it was sirloin, and very tender. I only had canned mushrooms and so that's what I used, but fresh would have been better. I volition definitely make this once more.

Lovely recipe! The tomato paste browns the sauce, nicely. Don't be afraid of the sauce browning/sticking to the bottom of the pan. Information technology de-glazes perfectly when you add the sour foam and white wine. Suggestion: use ii large portabella mushroom caps chopped into one in pieces. Unproblematic and delicious!This recipe is great and it came out wonderful. I was thinking that for next time to add cerise wine instead of white, and mayhap a little balsamic vinegar as someone else suggested. I served it over aborrio rice and it was simply perfect on a cold day. The only thing I did was add the white wine to my rue so that the alcohol burns off, it did take most twenty minutes for my sauce to outset to bubble, but yous can increase the heat a fleck more and keep stirring so long as it doesn't boil. I covered it for the 2 hours information technology was simmering but it was rather watery, and then I left it to simmer and reduce without the lid for another xxx-45 minutes and information technology was perfectly flossy! Test for common salt, you lot may need to add together a scrap to taste. I also loved the sour cream in it but a friend recommended equus caballus radish if you desire to give that a try. Over all, wonderful and I volition be making again!

My family was non impressed. I think they are used to the traditional white sauce version that I usually make.

This sauce was good, merely needed a picayune more seasoning. I didn't have mushrooms and substituted shredded carrots. The carrots were good, just I recollect I'd add together mushrooms and carrots adjacent time. This was overall a great recipe that I will made again with petty tweaks.
